While some relish at the opportunity to cash on a Banksy piece done up on their property, others are frankly not buying into the hype. Case in point, as a New York shop owner painted over an entire wall that was filled with graffiti. Albeit, the Banksy piece seen on his wall was sharing a spot with a few other artists, at the rate various Banksy pieces have been going on the market there’s a lot you could do with a piece from the famous street artist.

Well, the results from today’s Valentine’s Day (AUCTION) RED at SOTHEBY’S NYC are in and from the look of things on the auction block, you’d never guess we’re in the middle of a full-blown recession. The charity event’s buzz piece, a collaborative painting between British bad boys DAMIEN HIRST and BANKSY titled “Keep it Spotless” with is actually a reworking by Banksy of an existing Hirst piece fetched an impressive $1,870,000 USD, far exceeding its estimated price of $250,000—$350,000. The real winner of the evening, however, was Hirst, whose prices skyrocketed through the auction with his most expensive work, the massive stainless steel pill case titled “Where There’s a Will There’s a Way” going for an astounding $7,150,000 USD. We’re guessing the fact that all purchases were tax-deductible went a long way to opening bidder’s wallets. Luckily, it’s all for a good cause. In total, the auction raised $42m for Aids relief & research…

This mural painting is at Summer Wine, Penang Road. A romantic & fairy feel is the major themes of this mural….still working on it haven’t yet finish, have some beer & whisky logo not yet painted…
At first we just want it to look like watercolor effect…but we paints & paints…finally it become like realistic paintings hahaaa. Luckily the client like it, or else we have to repaint it…oh god please don’t do that to us….hehee

Space Invader是一位來自於法國的創意藝術家, 他的創意和啟發來自於早期的電玩遊戲, 尤其以 “Space Invader” 這一款遊戲最能代表他的作品。目前他的 Space Invader’s Project 企圖以他的作品侵略各個城市, 而在過去的八年時間他也成功的將自己的藝術呈現於 35 個城市 (最近也在英國 LAZARIDES GALLERY 舉行展覽)。從照片中可以看出他的創作手法是將圖案項數化, 格式化! 其中一系列名為 “RubicCubism” 利用了 Rubik, 魔術方塊玩具拼湊出一幅一幅的創意圖畫! Check it!

Really like his work….Damien Hirst the most successful British artist. His works is about life & death. Those theory sometime make u sick…blablabla….Art can be any kind of perception. It really depend on what u looking for…i’m still looking can’t find it either…anyone can give me a hand?
