As Nike gears up for an upcoming campaign for a tribute their classic jacket, the Windrunner, Medicom Toy has stepped in to create a special 400% Bearbrick. This Windrunner Bearbrick is actually a blank with Nike Malaysia choosing 180 artists, designers, collectors, customers and even students to each customize a Bearbrick. The customized Bearbricks will go on display at various stores for the duration of the Windrunner campaign.

It comes from the Greek (Kappa) developed from the Semitic Kap, symbol for an open hand. This in turn was likely adapted by Semites who had lived in Egypt, from the hieroglyph for “hand” representing D for the Egyptian word for hand, d-r-t. The Semites evidently assigned it the sound value /k/ instead, because their word for hand started with that sound.

The Semitic value of /k/ was maintained in most classical as well as modern languages, although Latin abandoned the use of K almost completely, preferring C.
